Hike

Lookout Mountain is a 7,377-foot peak located in Lookout Mountain Park. The Mountain is known for its natural scenery and views of downtown Denver. Its earliest known inhabitants were the Ute tribe, who used the mountain as a lookout point. This is an excellent two-mile hike and a fantastic place to take in the Colorado fall landscape. See the sea of orange, red, and yellows and maybe some wildlife along the way.

North Table Mountain is a lava flow formed Mountain created about 60 million years ago. Today, you can enjoy panoramic views and fifteen miles of trails. This is a perfect hike near Denver. For when you do not have much time on your hands but need some fresh air. While the trails are accessible all year round, the best time to hike is in the fall while the leaves are changing. The air is crisp which makes the walk enjoyable and the views are incredible.

Golden Gate Canyon State Park offers 35 miles of hiking trails for every level of hiker. The twelve paths are each named after an animal and marked with the animal’s footprint. Leaves

Along your hikes collect leaves that are unique in color and shape. Later, press them into a journal. You can either leave the dry leaves in the journal or take them off, and an imprint of the leaf will be left on the paper. Then, layer your pictures on top to create an original scrapbook of your Colorado adventure!
